Upon leaving our last Stranger, Patrick Crego, I was led to coffee shop by a young man named Garrett ,who would introduce me to Donnie Brown.

Growing up in Minneapolis,MN, Donnie fell prey to the vices that many have over the years. At 14 he started smoking spot, 15, drinking and later on in his 20s he would get into harder drugs.

In the latter part of his 20s Donnie's drug use would catch up to him. He was busted for cocaine possession and sent to the can for 20 months.

After being released, Donnie's old lifestlye soon encumbered him again. Donnie did however find some victory for a short time, in being off the drink for three years before a relapse. A change was soon to come though.

Donnie and his wife Michelle.

Enter the love of his life and now wife, Michelle. Donnie and Michelle were married on April 20, 2000 in Eugene,Oregon.

Donnie and Michelle are currently without a place to live after Donnie lost his forklift driving job at a local warehouse. Donnie and Michelle have a wonderful young daughter named Summer who is the love of their life.

As of my meeting with Donnie, he is sixty-five days clean and sober and currently looking for work. He is also trying to get back into a better relationship with his savior Jesus Christ, which he regards as his strength through the hard times.
